What is a wet room?
Unlike your traditional bathrooms, wet rooms feel like a shower room. This gift of a wetroom is a wide-open space without separate sections. Through a process called tanking, a wet room is completely waterproofed. The shower area is in line with the rest of the floor with a flush drain located in the shower area.
Why upgrade to a wet room?
Accessibility is one of the biggest benefits of a wet room. A wet room makes bathing more accessible with no raised shower tray. We recommend including handgrips, grab bars, and seating as part of your bathroom design. Wet rooms may or may not include a tub. For more luxury, consider thermal flooring and creative lighting.
Is a wet room right for me?
If you are someone who likes a quick rinse before a luxurious soak in the tub, then a wet room may just be for you! Some may even find this seamless space easier to clean. In general, converting a smaller bathroom into a wet room may give the space a grander feel. A wet room is definitely for the minimalist, which means less clutter!
