Just as our physical and mental health needs a regular check-up, our home needs routine maintenance too. Keeping up with the health of your home and addressing small repairs will prevent complications down the road will save you money in the long run. Here's a short winter checklist for you to consider.
- Change the batteries in your smoke detectors
- Check the basement for leaks during thaws
- Vacuum your bathroom exhaust fan
- Vacuum refrigerator/freezer coils and clean drip pans
- Inspect roof, gutters and downspouts after storms
